Non-Negotiable Safety Guidelines

These guidelines are established by the Holston Annual Conference.

Masks: Masks are not required at this time for those who have been fully vaccinated. We have masks available for those who choose to wear one.

Social Distancing: Social distancing of 3 feet in all directions must be observed.

Attendance: Attendance of all persons must be documented at each worship service for the purpose of contacting the Pulaski County Health Department in case of a COVID-19 infection. Preregistration is required. You may call the church office or register online on Facebook or our webpage. Reservation for in-person worship closes at noon on Friday.  Walk-ins without a reservation will be seated for worship on Sunday morning as space permits.

Sanitizing: All public spaces must be cleaned and sanitized after each service, especially restrooms and other high-touch areas and surfaces.

What to Expect On Sunday

Parking: Parking will be as normal, but only the main sanctuary entrance will be used for coming into the building. Our greeters will meet you in the parking lot to answer questions and offer assistance.  We will continue to broadcast on 87.9 FM.

Seating: Seating will be socially distanced.

Services: Two in-person gatherings are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am and 11 am.  The 9:00 am service will be live-streamed for those who live too far away or do not yet feel comfortable joining us for in-person worship.

Sunday School: Sunday School Classes begin at 10:00 am.

Small Groups

Small groups and classes that are part of the ministry of Dublin United Methodist Church may begin meeting outside and inside, in groups of 25 persons or fewer with social distancing guidelines.  Please make room reservations through the church office via email or phone.

Non-church related groups can now meet on church property at this time.  Questions? Contact the church office via email or phone.

A Tad More Information

Dublin United Methodist Church is committed to the health and safety of our members and guests and will be mindful of the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control, the Pulaski County Health Department, and the New River Valley Public Health Task Force and follow established guidelines for houses of worship from the State of Virginia. All reopening plans and future worship schedules are predicated on the containment of the COVID-19 virus in our area.

It is understood that people will make their own decisions based on what they feel comfortable with. Those who are sick should stay home. Vulnerable or high-risk populations also are encouraged to stay home. We will continue to offer our worship online as well as classes and growth content online via video, email, and social media. If you have ideas on how we can help you grow in faith, please contact us through the church office.

We will be updating our DUMC guidelines as the situation changes.
